Date Night is a ministry designed to strengthen the family. It operates as a co-op for couples and single parents. During the 10 month ministry (August-May), each couple will work 2 Fridays and have 8 dates. The sign-up for Date Night begins in June each year.
UPWARD Incorporated is a non-denominational ministry based out of Spartanburg, S.C. The purpose of UPWARD is to use sports to reach kids and families for Christ. At Apex Baptist Church, we offer basketball and cheerleading. Registration begins in August and the season runs from late October to early January.
Evangelism Ministry
Matthew 28:19-20 and Acts 1:8 provide the necessary foundation for sharing our faith. We believe that sharing our faith and going into our community is an honor. Training classes involving the basics of relational evangelism are offered each year. There are also opportunities for relational evangelism throughout the year in large events, home Bible studies and during LIFE Groups.
Weekday Preschool
The purpose of ABC Weekday Preschool is to extend the mission of Apex Baptist Church by providing an opportunity for children to attain educational goals in a “Christ centered” environment. Through many experiences, we will provide an opportunity to create, to explore, to discover, to respect others, to build self-esteem, and to be aware of who God is, His created world, and His love for all.
Treasure Keepers
Apex TreasureKeepers is a scrapbooking fellowship that meets monthly on the third Friday. Come together with other scrapbookers in our Fellowship Hall from 6:00 pm until midnight for a time of scrapping, devotions, and sharing. You don't have to be a member of ABC to join and it's free. We have a moderated yahoo group named "apextreasurekeepers" that you can request to join by sending an e-mail to Phyllis Wagner.
Go F.I.S.H.
Families Instructing Students at Home is the ABC Homeschool Support Ministry. We meet weekly on Thursdays in the church gym from 12:30-2:30 for gym fun for the children. We have monthly Mom's nights, usually held at Border's Bookstore in Apex as well as special events throughout the year like family pot lucks, field trips and holiday events. Lost Sheep Found
Lost Sheep Found is a ministry designed to help provide Christian homes and lives for adoptive children. Toward that end, this ministry helps families raise finances for adoption through our adoption fundraising/grant program. Click on the links below to download more information!
